Tynemouth Surf Co is the original Tynemouth Surf Shop, established in May 1995 by two local surfers, since then it has grown to be one of the premier surf shops in the North East of England. Located in an excellent location, directly above the Award winning Tynemouth Longsands Beach the surf shop is able to provide top of the range equipment and services including Surf Lessons, Secure Changing Facilities, Surfboard, Wetsuit & Bodyboard Hire.
Never Surfed Before? Not sure what its all about? No Problem.... We run beginners surfing lessons most weekends and during the busier periods at other times as well. We are also able to run advanced surfing lessons that can be tailored to your specific requirements.
Group lessons can also be arranged for Schools, Colleges, Uni's, Youth Clubs, and even events such as birthday or stag and hen parties.
All lessons take place from our fully equipped beach hut situated on the south end of Tynemouth Longsands. (Next to the Lifeguard Station)

An Aerial View of the Surf Shop & Beach
Over the past few years we have chosen to specialise purely in the technical aspects of the sport. We stock a wide range of surfboards, wetsuits, bodyboards, skimboards and accessories. We also stock our own brand merchandise in the form of hoodies, t-shirts, hats and a constantly changing selection of other limited edition items. If you are looking for a present for someone else we also sell gift vouchers that can either be used for surfing lessons or for most items available in the surf shop.
